Questions that move the project forward.
Use this guide to prepare your next development conversation.
Map the scope of change.
Changing a logo is different from changing housing, controls or components. Document the requested changes and ask which ones affect tooling, testing, documentation and production planning.
Agree ownership and responsibilities.
Before development starts, record responsibilities for design files, tooling, intellectual property, approved samples and change requests. Use the written project agreement as the reference.
Compare like-for-like proposals.
Check that quotations cover the same scope, quantities, sample expectations and documentation. A headline unit price alone does not explain the total project commitment.
